What should pregnant women eat: A doctor and mother’s recommendation

“What can I eat during pregnancy? And what types of foods are best for me and my baby?”

These are two of the most common questions I am asked as an OB/GYN when I see a new patient in the office for her first pregnancy visit. Now more than ever, my patients are very conscious of their nutrition and their overall health, and how we can make their pregnancies the healthiest possible from start to finish. Diet, exercise and regular prenatal care are all cornerstones that we look to in keeping our patients healthy, happy, and with good pregnancy outcomes. I also now have another answer to those questions: Protiva.

My unique experience

I’m OB/GYN and a mom to my 4 year-old and 6 month-old daughters. I recommend Protiva Pregnancy to all of my pregnant patients and Protiva New Mom to all of my patients to aid in recovery from delivery and to fuel the body for breastfeeding, because I’ve used it myself.
